Understanding my Equifax Credit Report

Options
I recently "purchased" my credit report/rating from Equifax which is quite interesting, more than I thought it would be.

I can't find anything on their website, or the rest of the web for that matter, to understanding the meaning of the different characters in the Monthly Profile.

There are the following ones showing for my different credit agreements. Any help at all, or a point in the right direction, would be appreciated...

0 (Assuming payment was made on time that month)
1 (Assuming one month in arrear)
.
U
S

Again, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • Thank you very much! ;D
  • How much did the Equifax credit report cost you out of interest? Just been to their web site and it says I have to fork out 11.75 :o From Martin’s article I thought it would be more like £2. Is forking out 11.75 the only way or can you do it cheaper?

    Cheers
  • All credit agencies have to offer a statutory report for £2. I would publish the direct link here but Equifax have chosen to break their website at this time.

  • Cheers for that. After searching Equifax site, I have found the (somewhat hidden) link for the bog standard, non rip-off credit rating:

  • What exactly is an arrangement to pay?

As I have one on my account which I know shouldn't be there - will it have a bad effect on my score??
    They call me Mr Pig!
  • I didn't pay the full price for the report and rating, it was during a "special offer period" and cost me about £6.

I bought one of the £2 reports some time ago and to be honest, wasn't very happy with the way the report was produced. Not very helpful at all.

However, the Equifax one was well worth the money and gave me the opportunity to see all my active and settled accounts.

Apparently, an arrangement to pay is where a borrower in difficulty has asked to make a reduced monthly payment.

Additionally, according to this document, an arrangement to pay is described as follows: sometimes, if you cannot make the full payments for your credit account, the lender may allow you to pay a different amount for a short time. This is shown on your credit reference file as an arrangement to pay.
