I had problem after problem with the CSA my son is now 3 weeks off 15yrs old and he has never received anything from Mr x i wont say father as he doesnt deserve the title, Since the day my son was born i can count the number of letters on one hand all telling me my son is entitled to nothing, mr x has a full time job and has since gone on to have 3 younger children he has one older than my son so as far as i can gather the eldest was from his 1st marriage so he comes 1st then the other 3 he is with now which means my son comes bottom of the pile there didnt seem anything i could do so eventually i gave up hope others have more luck than me.

Sometimes you have to be ruthless with the CSA, did you inform the CSA that he had a full time job at the time.Hit the snitch button!member #1 of the official warning clique.

Have you tried the complaints system?
You also have to remember that they as a rule only go after the easy targets, helps meet their targest.0 -
Yeah told them he was working full time even told them where he worked and when they rang me last week the woman said she had his NI number!! And she couldnt understand why if he is working full time he doesnt have to pay?? .... Doesnt make sense to no doubt i'll get another letter telling me my sons entitled to zero again.0

You son doesn't come bottom of the pile, don't think like that

If they could assess him and he had any spare income left.. he would be paying.
Very sad indeed, but chin up.. you've won.. you have your son

She may not understand CS1 as this is what your case would be. If you get a nil assessment, you will at least know what the net income figure is that they use. You can then work out whether it is worth closing the case, waiting 13 weeks and reclaiming under CS2. That way he will pay you 15% of 75% of his net income .0

Hiya, just reading this thread, and have a question. What is the difference between CS1 and CS2? And, with a Nil Assessment, are the PWC privy to the NRP income?
Sorry I haven't quite understood the difference between the two and it is often mentioned.
Many thanks!0 -
CS1 was the old system where they took housing costs into account and calculated the maintenance based on what was left (very simply but it was a complicated formula). CS2 came in in March 2003 and is now much simpler with a % of a person's net income. I would suggest to the OP that if her case is a CS1 case, that she close it, wait 13 weeks and then reapply as she may well get something under CS2. PM me for other info - I can work out whether it would be worth doing that.0
