We have a royal bank of scotland premier account which gives us a free PRIORITY PASS to the airport lounges. Some people do not know that the royal bank offers this and you need to get them to registeryou for your pass.If you dont have a royal bank account you could join PRIOIRTY PASS details here .It does cost £69 a year and £15 everythime you visit a lounge but if you travel a lot it might be worth it.
IM just glad we get ours free as I love the airport ounges- especailly when you are abroad in a ramshack airport !! Hope this helps someone.0 -
Travelcare's holiday extras sometimes do deals on airport lounges too. There will always be:

Recently used the one at east midlands and was very disappointed not as good as others that I have used at larger airports. Small and limited choice for snacks and drinks. used Manchester ones before and well worth it.I work for TUI Group of Companies. My companies ATOL/ABTA numbers are 2524 / D5299. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Travel Agent, so you need to take my word for it but Atol numbers can be checked on the Civil Aviation Authority website. This signature is here as I follow MSE's Travel Agent Code of Conduct.0

The RBS account costs £15 per month and, for us, that certainly wouldn't be cost effective as we wouldn't make much use of anything else other than the airport lounges if we had a long flightThere will always be:

Hi Walks,
I have just been into the Airport Lounge at Manchester. It is run by Servais. I have a corporate credit card (Diners Club), which means I have free access to BA lounges. I can take a guest in for £15.00. As BA do not have a dedicated lounge, the general one in Manchester is Servais.
This is the lounge that anybody can get into, even if you are flying with Virgin, Monarch, BMI etc.
The lounge itself is quite small. There are todays papers to read, a television and some current magazines. If you go in at breakfast, there is cereal, toast, juices, fruit, water, muffins, tea and coffee. To get to the lounge it is in Terminal 2, and you have to go up a flight of stairs to this lounge. It is very quiet, and if someone is on the nervous side about flying, you do get away from the hussle and bussle.
One thing to remember, keep an eye on your departure. They do not annouce when flights are about to depart, or when gates become open. That is up to you to do, but there is a screen of flight departures, if I remember, just as you are entering the lounge.
Hope this is of help to anyone flying from Manchester.
Though I must say, the United lounge at Heathrow, is fantastic. Televisions, papers, magazines, food and free internet access. Although my colleague says that the upgraded Virgin lounge knocks spots off the United one!0
