    Have posted this as a new thread on the Weddings forum, but I guess it probably rightly belongs here - I just don't want anyone over there to miss it! Might be of any use to anyone planning to get married in the SW in 2010.

    Somerset County Cricket ground

    The offer is on p14 of the Mid Devon Star this week, and details are that if you book a wedding for next year,before the 27th Sept this year, you get the venue free (they rate it as being worth £1000). There's a min number of guests, so I imagine there's tie-ins with the terms and conditions, but you do get:
    Master of Ceremonies;
    Use of cake knife & stand :rolleyes:
    Linen napkins/tablecloths
    executive box for your private use throughout the day

    It's written as a promo for their new 'Long Room' venue, and the ad is worded so that its not clear whether or not use of THAT room is free in the offer, or if they mean the use of the executive box is the 'venue' they're calling free. The room will be ready from April 2010. You need a copy of the ad when you make the booking - middevonstar.co.uk and the page tells you to contact Brian Lee on 0845 3371875 or email brianl at somersetcountycc dot co dot uk
    (written out longhand to foil the bots!) to discuss details/available dates, I guess. Hope this is of use to someone!
    Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!

    Last time these were printed they were available in loads of local newspapers so check yours out.

    They will definitely be in any of the Guardian group in this area like Dinnington, etc.

    I've bought 4 copies - get yours today :rotfl:
    If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat :D
