Question regarding working for DWP and pay

Options
Hi everybody

I am due to start work with the DWP (like many of us on here ;)) soon, and have a question for anybody who works there already.

Do you get paid monthly? If so, is it on a certain day of the month, or is it 4 weekly?

Please PM me if you don't wish to disclose on here.

Thank you very much.

As been said last working day of the month, but I seem to remember that for the first couple of months when you start you could get paid fortnightly - it was offered on the first day I started
  • Thanks for your replies. Much appreciated.

EasternThunderUK - Incase you are wondering why I didn't ask this at interview..it wasn't really an issue at the time as my direct debits are scattered throughout the month and I am generally careful with money. However, I am considering making a large purchase on payday from my current job this month and as I am probably going to be starting DWP sooner rather than later, am considering putting this on hold until finances are steady.

can I ask is your job AA/AO/EO/HEO/SEO etc etc...?

I am ex SEO but clearly remember being tested & interviewed by Capita, only met ES staff (as I was JC based) at second interview after passing the Capita one a couple of weeks earlier.....

I eventually ended up working in the old DSS buildings though, essentially due to my role swapping from ES to DSS prior to the merge and formation of 'One' and subsequently JC+.

    Wow, good ole memories eh!

Not that it matters, just wondered what sort of jobs are around nowadays.....
    :o 2010 - year of the troll :o
