Do any of you know anything about the following unlimited free calls for 3 months offer? Is it worth trying or does it entail being roped into what turns out to be an expensive contract from which we can't readily escape for 12 months.
Could be a real :money: but then again it could be an expensive trap.
I'm trusting those brighter in financial and business matters to keep me right here.

From the above mentioned website:
"The free calls will work as follows: we will calculate your average monthly call-spend (on every phone number for each eligible new service) during your first 12 complete months of service, based on all the chargeable calls you have made. We will then credit each of those phone numbers with this value of free calls during each of the next 3 months (i.e. during months 13, 14 and 15) on our service. Therefore in those months your calls could be absolutely free. "
What this sounds like to me is:
1. You pay for all your calls for the 1st 12 months
2. They then work out your average call spend per month
3. In months 13, 14 and 15, they will credit you account by the average spend per month you have had in the last 12 months.
This does not mean UNLIMITED "free calls" for 3 months as far as I am concerned.
E.g.
If for the first 12 months, you only use an average of £5 worth of call per month, in months 13,14 and 15, they will only credit you total £15 for those 3 months.
So you can't go racking up £500 per month worth of calls in months 13,14 & 15 and expect them to be free, you'll only get £5 per month back.
The only way you can get £500 pr month free calls in months 13, 14 and 15 is to spend an average of £500 per month in the first 12 months!!!!
"the more calls you make during the first 12 months, the more free calls you will receive in the next 3 months! "
As for what the actual line rental costs are and the per mintute charges are, I cant be bothered to look further into it. I wouldn't bother with this offer, personally.0 -
The problem is that these people are not the cheapest kids on the block anyway. Also you have to pay £18 a year to belong to their club.
If you are interested in getting cheap or free landline calls have a look at this post here.

You would get a better response if you posted this sort of question on the Telephone Board ,Home Phone Forum where the phone experts hang out.
PS. Yes you would have to take out a 12 month mobile contract with them and keep it it for at least 15 months to get the call credit in months 13to 15.0 -
Don't think I'll bother either.
Thanks to Utilitybroker and Sujman for your help.
