  • I learnt "cooking" at school ( read as, spag bol made with a jar, meatballs, apple crumble and pineapple upside down pud ) Mum never liked us interfering in "her" kitchen, so I never really learnt to cook till I moved in with the OH ( two years ago in July! )

I remember learning, as in being taught, at 17. I could boil rice and fry plantain by 12 but I couldn't cook anything.

Im 20 and learnt to cook at around 8 years old. Could bake cakes with mom supervision before that though.

First learnt to cook ommlettes so thats all everyone ate for a week.

Was expected to cook dinner every day after school from ages 11, as mom worked long shifts.

Sooooo glad I was taught young, its easy peasy now
