Wanting to save money is great.
But what about having less involvement with money in the first place?
If you have time on your hands you are useful to someone.
Why not spend some time with a LETSystem. Search for a one local to you. LETSLinkUK will help you (google).
It's one way to keep busy and network with local people :money:.
You never know, you might meet someone who knows someone who looking to employ someone like you.

Order of events: Banks lose our money -> get bailed out -> were inflating GBP to cover it -> now taxing us -> next will grab your funds direct -> things get really desperate to balance the books. What should have happened?: banks go bust and we lost our money much quicker

I belonged to my local LET's for a couple of years, but sadly never found anybody who was offering what I needed, a bit of diy help around the home. The group didn't seem very active compared to the one a friend belonged to.
Perhaps I'll check my local one out again as a couple of years down the line it may have improved & garnered more members. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0
