Medicanimal.com are offering free P&P and if you enter the voucher code xy5tyyafam8s at the end of your order you get a further 20% off. I'm sure most of you are already on to this, but I was daft enough to get it all from the Vet at 3 times the price before DMP World!!!

Do what? Irish woman speaking with forked tongue?
Know for sure your message very valuable to pet owners but what the devil is drontal and would we all benefit from some???
Animal life not popular with me today. A starling fell down my chimney this morning and just had to pay £30-00 to the gasman to uncouple gas fire and rescue the wildlife.
Very comical really - bird still thankfully OK. Escaped into room and flying round living room leaving deposits. How can you ever budget for things like this on a DMP?

As Twitty said, it's so hard to carry on without your nearest knowing what you are going through. I've realised that I am guilty of carrying on as if nothing happened, giving my family everything without thinking of the reality. They have adapted pretty well, OH son has extra job to see him through Uni, and OH and I enjoy every wee treat we can afford.
From the reduced interest point of view, we now realise that not all will stop interest all together. Most HAVE stopped interest, so that's a plus (in fact the interest alone would have fed us every month) so as long as it's all coming down, where's the harm?
Yes, we are all on this damned road, but much the better for it, I think.
Thanks again from the woman who will, never again, buy a bottle of wine for £8.50 from M&S!!

Oh Tooth Fairy my friend you have never spoken so truly!!!

This is exactly what I have done. Have a son who had finished Uni with a brilliant degree but couldn't get a job. Came home for supposedly a few weeks that turned into many, many months (and no benefits money.) He was too highly qualified for local jobs and got rejection after rejection.
All the while I was supporting us on my basic NHS wage. Had to use the C/C for basic costs. And yes, never thought of the reality - carried on as if I could afford this, wanting to keep everything right. Why eat mince when you can have steak?
He's left home now and working for a cancer research unit but I must also take the blame - had been charging the C/C for years previously without thinking of it as 'real money.'
And you don't have to pay £8-50 for wine. Alcohol in any form is welcome as an occasional treat (even the £3-29 per litre Spanish sump oil they sell in Tesco)

Spanish Sump is ok, I prefer Italian olio di motore, or French p!trole diesel myself... more of an acquired taste though, I must admit.DMP mutual support thread No: 2430 -

Sorry about starling, Twitty, if it escapes in to your living room, then you have our permission to shoot it! Have you watched 'British Menu' this week? They are doing all sorts with 'Lambs Fry' bet you didn't know what that is, ha ha!!
Drontal is a strong worming agent given to dogs/cats. It kills all the agents known to harm pets and children, and we all know as parents, what it is like, when your wee one comes in with shoes covered . It can even blind kids, so all responsible people regularly worm their pets.
Hope you are well,

There's a brill wine in Asda at the moment, it's got three boats on the front, a sauvignon blanc. £3.11 fantastic!!:j:hello::hello::jDMP mutual support thread member 3480 -

'Lambs Fry' -just 'googled' it and feel slighty queasy now as not had my dinner yet. But what the hell - it's all protein isn't it?
Thanks for the warning re: pets. Really glad to know that even cash strapped you can be so responsible.0 -

Hey, wee woman, YOUR son works for Cancer Research? He IS steak( and the chips, and the pepper sauce). My son is 2nd year Uni and if he turns out as well as yours, I will be ok. I was trying to convey how minging all this is for the Newbies. The phone ringing at night when you went to bed cos you're broke (8.30) and that awful feeling because it's your best friends birthday, and all you can afford is cooking her a dinner (but she loved it!!).
It makes you wonder what is real.

I told my new ladyfriend about my debt problems the other day, she said she was fine with it and said it didn't matter. Bear in mind that she gave birth to a stillborn child a few months ago, I guess debt doesn't really matter so much when it comes down to it.DMP mutual support thread No: 2430

No, things come into focus at moments like that. I'm very sorry for her.:j:hello::hello::jDMP mutual support thread member 3480 -
Most of mine stopped immediately.
But that maybe because I was paying a very low amount from the start (20 year DFD!) and they felt sorry for me. I know what you mean about the fact that they're snowed under, but all I really use them for is to distribute my payments through them. I really don't think they do any negotiating, and I probably communicate more with my creditors than they do (only over the phone mind).
I'm with you on this Ian, I to only use CCCS to distribute my payments if I'm totally honest about it, as it makes life so much easier.
If there is a problem with one of my creditors I sort it out myself, mainly using the brilliant advice found here. CCCS will help if you ask them but at the end of the day it is your debt and you want to do everything you can to stop it rising, as Cocker says CCCS etc are very busy and sometimes it is just quicker to sort out minor problems yourself.DMP mutual support thread member:3270
