Received a letter today from Lloyds CC thanking me for sending details of my Income and expenditure (can't have got it yet CCCS doesn't have their details) and telling me that my offer is unacceptable and that they will be forwarding my account to collections! Is this pretty standard?
Thanks in advance Cx
LLoyds are dreadful, they sent letters back to the CCCS saying they couldnt accept the offers as they had no record of the accounts, yet the payments had shown up on my statements, they keep sending me letters saying i am not keeping up with our agreed payment plan, again all payments are on statements, I rang them & was told to ignore the letters. Latest thing is they say my payments (on our 2 credit cards) are reaching them after the agreed date (no date was agreed) so they have been charging £35 a month on each card with they have been taking from our joint account making that more overdrawn that it was so we get more charges on there!!Light Bulb Moment feb 2009

Struggling, debts still mounting due to interest & charges :mad:0 -
Morning All,
Counting down the days and hours until payday. Roll on Friday, but I will be keeping a level head and not going crazy like I do every payday.:D:D
So so glad that we cancelled dinner with friends at the weekend, just found out that they spent £275 per couple:eek::eek: on the meal & drink but that doesn't include the taxis and babysitters. So not much change out of £350 OMG..... in the old days I would have slapped it on a CC and forgot about it, how times change. I would never ever want to spend that sort of money on a night out again, saying that I can't afford it but I now realise how stupid spending that sort of money is on a night out. I'd rather put it towards a holiday.
Happy DMPing

Do you mean if interest and charges weren't stopped? I want to know this too. as i've been told not to worry about it, but it's easier said than done as there are others here with similar problems and as yet we haven't managed to find anyone who has been through this process but have been told about it. I'm just hoping it's not some urban myth!
Sorry, not vey helpful!
Hi guys
Not been on here for a while, but thought i'd post about this as i've asked quite a few people the same questions, including a CCCS counsellor.
Basically the plan keeps going until you have finished paying off all of your debt, unless you can organise a full and final offer. Payplan say that they ask for the interest added to the original debt over the years to be wiped off, but CCCS have told me that you have to keep paying till the full amount is cleared. You just have to keep trying to get the interest stopped so that you can work towards getting a final figure that you can work towards clearing.
I know, its bloody depressing. Ours in meant to finish March 2011, but with Lloyds adding interest over the years, there's no chance of this happening. In fact, since 2005 when our plan started, the figure hasn't budged much at all. So our plan could go on for much much longer.
Our action right now is to claim back charges, ppi etc and put it towards clearing our Lloyds debt. And we've written a letter of complaint to lloyds requesting that the debt be passed onto a dca to get the interest stopped.
Its an ongoing battle, but the bottom line is - you keep paying till the debt is clearedDFD February 2012

Wow that's a lot of money for a night out! Luckily my hubby doesn't like proper posh food, so we'd never have to spend this much!!
thanks mozzy for updating us! I STILL haven't started the claiming charges ball rolling! What is wrong with me? Hi, I am fairly new to DMP and I do not know how to post a new thread???
Anyway, I sent off my DMP to CCCS yesterday and I am scared about the outcome. I have 4 creditors (Citicard, MBNA, Halifax, Northern Rock) and just wondering if any of you have anything to put my mind at rest and tell me that they accept a DMP with CCCS or not?
Thanks and sorry if I have not posted correctly!!0 -
Hi Sudi, you're in the right place if you want to ask any questions about DMPs. Welcome!
Most creditors will deal with CCCS and will generally accept the DMP, eventually. Look out for lots of phone calls and hassle, but don't worry about it!

Hi BMM
:rotfl:Glad I'm not the only one who is currently focused on payday! For me it's Friday 25th, and I have a tenner left, so £1.10 a day for the next 9 days. Today I've pushed the boat out and bought a Twix and a bag of crisps - what a rebel!.... :rotfl:

Hey mozzyc
Thanks for this interesting post. I'm in a similar situation with one of my creditors whom I pay £17 per month on a current account overdraft (which is now un-used - have switched my account to another bank), with them charging me £15 per month, so I am only paying off £2 per month. The overdraft is £960, so this debt is going to take a long long time to clear. My CCCS dmp is fairly tight (I've been far too honest with them and left myself with nothing), so there's no extra money for overpayment. I'm barely surviving as it is!
My question is, is there a way of getting the interest stopped? I've tried a letter on the National Debtline website in which I told the bank concerned that all my other creditors have accepted the DMP, but just got a reply saying, sorry, no we won't freeze the interest. Is there any way forward? Should I ask CCCS to write to this creditor? Not sure whether to claim back bank charges at present as they are probably only £200 in total (bad enough, I know). Can you give me an idea about how you phrased your complaint letter - may be worth giving this a try.
Many thanks for any help you can give me....:DLBM - March 2009, DMP Start - April 2009
