Went for NOTW's...nice friendly SA on self scan , I always head for ordinary checkout but if she beckons 'cos she's quiet then I go along and have a nice chat , she knows my mocs are OK, but she told me they had been given instructions to double check mocs being used on self-scan extra carefully as some people are using out of date mocs and photocopies, they've had multiple ones with same pin on them ( couponnet ones) in black & white....said they were actually considering stopping coupon use at self-scan, not just at this store but everywhere...like Asda. That should help stop coupon abuse, if it doesn't stop coupon use altogether!!!

Well it looks like it's happening. I've been successfully using coupons on the self scan at my Mr T's for about 18 months now. Went this morning only to find a bit of cardboard stuck over the coupon slot with the words 'All coupons have to be authorised' written on it - just like Asda.

Boo Hoo - this is NOT a good day as they don't take internet coupons on the checkouts but they were ok on the self scan. I suppose I could ask for them to be authorised but i guess i know what the answer will be.

Will be interesting to hear if this is happening in other stores.

Hmmmm...forgive me for pointing this out - but if you are in a store that you know doesn't accept internet printed mocs (manager's discretion), why the heck would you sneak them through the self scan? They all end up in the same cash office in your store you know, and that's the problem.

I have a similar local store, and they never accept internet mocs. They also have a self-scan but I wouldn't dream of trying to offload internet prints in that store, ever. No internet prints means no internet prints in some stores...simple as.

Sorry but I think this will be store-specific, due to coupon abuse (people who have been bunging internet mocs thru the self-scan)...

I was thinking the same too. Dear Alena99, If you keep doing it, in the end, it will be your lost, as well as everybody who has been following T's rules at your local branch. I hope we are not in the same shop. as I would like to make full use of coupons until they totally ban it:rotfl:

gill - can u shortern your post pls :rotfl:

    Good morning everyone

Re Peppadew coupon, I have not yet had 1 scan normally even with the hand scanner. The SA has to type in the barcode number.

Why can't you use the Peppadew coupon in Tesco? Mine sells it. I have a feeling you are not reading the coupon right, there are 2 flavours that are only available at Asda and Waitrose but it is just letting you know where you can find those 2 flavours and not saying the coupon is only good at Asda and Waitrose iyswim.

I couldn't use it because I am a fool. You are exactly right sher, I wasn't reading it properly. Thanks for pointing that out to me. I couldn't work ut how to just print the moc without the red even with the instructions other posters were giving me, I'll go back a few pages for the instructions and try again a I don't want to spend 30p more than I need too.

I'd rather miss using a moc I could use than use one I shouldn't be using. I'm so grateful to be saving money I wouldn't want to do something to jeopardise the use of mocs.

Energiser gave me a moc from the top one yesterday but the bottom one gave me the useless berryburst one again, warbys let me get 1 moc then said I'd hit my limit last night. I'll pick up some codes and have another go today.

Tena not scanning for me either but fine when keyed it - Why did it have to be the tena one that they have to spend so much time on? I'm not complaining Gill, 50p is well worth having.

After my problems with the transformer £1.65 moc from notw being refused on Sunday, worked fine yesterday so I'll buy more than 1 copy next time.
