Morning all. I'm running out of high value coupons but I shall be in Tesco's this morning at 09:55 for a quick whizz round ready to be at the till for 10:00 exactly. Does anyone else do this?

What is so special about getting to the till for exactly 10:00?

As promised a report on the gfs yesterday :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

We got there just before 9am which was good considering we left Cornwall at jus before 5am so apart from the queues for parking didn't really meet any other queues for a while. :T:T:T:T

We queued and picked up the tickets in less than 5mins (thanks to poshnosh for making sure they kept the tickets for us) so that was a good start :D:D:D:D:D

We had breakfast at the Kelloggs stand and got a few free samples and mocs aswell :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

We then went and had ice cream at the Carte D'or stand and got lots of mocs :j:j:j

Mum subscribed to the Gardeners World Magazine for 6 months so we got entrance in to the lounge, free water and seeds in the lounge and mum got some device for watering the garden free (rrp £49.99). not bad for a £15 subscription for 6 months :D:D:D:D Whilst sat in the lounge (it was still before 10am) we had a look at the maps and got some bearings over where we were and the freebies :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

During the course of the day we also subscribed to the Good Food mag for 6 months. This gave us free entry into the lounge where you could get free bottled water, Tyrells crisps and seeds and we also got free gifts. I got a hand held blender RRP £35+ and mum got a mini chopper worth around the same free., Again not bad for £15 for 6 months. :D:D:D

As the day went on it got busier an busier in there and so getting vouchers got harder an harder as they started to run out of the days quoter :eek::eek:

We did keep going in and out of the main doors though which meant we kept getting handed booklets of vouchers :j:j:j:T:T

We also managed to get alot of the souvenier bags :j:j:j

In the end we came home with loads of samples and I mean loads of samples we have about 3 carrier bags full of samples plus a fridge full of yoghurts from Alpro Soya and Muller Amore, plus several bottles of water, bags of crisps and a carrier bag full of seeds and £435.25 worth of mocs. :D:D:D:D:T:T:T:T:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

During the day we had to go back to the car twice to empty the suitcases we took :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

By the time we had counted up and sorted last night we had been up nearly 22hrs lol :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

So we definately had a good day even though we didn't get as many mocs as sher :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hi pink & gill, glad you had a great day at the GFS. although you didn't get the coupon amount my daughter and I did, you did get more freebies than me so I'll crown you both "freebie Queens of the GFS"!!:T:T Glad you made it home okay too, I was exhausted after our day there and I wasn't up 22 hours!!!

I think because it was a Sunday and the Tesco's open earlier for people to fill their trolleys but the tills can only open at 10'o'clock IYSWIM.

Hi, just got back from my local tesco and i have been told that if the coupon does not scan then it cant be accepted the sa can not key in the number. Does any one have a phone number i can call to check this out, as before i was told its fine for the number to be keyed in. If this is the case i may as well not bother as not many of mine do scan. Please help if you can im addicted to couponing ( lol) and will be gutted if it ends:mad:

I got the same old chestnut last week. Perhaps its because they suspect that non-scanners are copies and thus duds. The Sun £5 coupon doesn't scan so we had problems all over again with that one. You say not many of yours scan - why is that? You could try to improve your print quality. You can also ask the SA to try using the hand-held scanner.

Am currently in process of upgrading my printer (got a F4280 All in one) from tesco ofc, as my old canon ip1800 was starting ot print blurry coupons. Quality could be improved with changing quality in setting but took ages to print lol. Hopefully F4280 will be better for me.

I think you car has had a talk with mine as my car is playing up now! It keeps over heating. It is going in to the mechanics tomorrow and I'm praying it is something stupid, like an airlock, as I don't have the money to fix it if it is something major. I hate it when the car decides I need to spend money on it! One day I hope I will be able to afford a brand spanking new car so I'm not buying someone else's troubles. Mine you, Murphy would make sure I got the lemon if I could afford a new car. Oh woe is me!

I am trying to get the print quality better but not succeeding. it is obviously my printer I have even been and paid for better quality paper, i have edited the mocs to try and save on ink by putting them into word this must be another reason why bar codes are not clear.:o They sometimes work with the hand held scanner but i know that the goodness shakes definitely don't nor does the finish one.

    Saw this just go up on hduk, if anyone is tesco shopping today and want to try it, quote;

There is currently a BOGOF offer at tesco on Clementines and satsumas. I bought 1 bag of satsumas for £2.19 and 1 bag of clementines for £2.19 and got a discount of £4.38 on my final bill. In other words, these items were free
