Jeez what is it with these till staff, are they making up their own rules

I think the quick answer is - yes.

Today the male SA took 5 of the nestle cereal coupons but rejected one of them. No reason, was not a duplicate. He then returned my whiskas coupon and a couple of others. Just said, I cannot take those and gave them back to me. He did take about 18 other coupons so managed to get around £22 off a £33.50 shop, so I am happy anyway.
  • I'm here to confess. I went to the GFS today and managed to bring home a very large stash of coupons. Very worthwhile visiting for me, though I'm not sure if I should reveal the total amount of the coupons as I'm very likely to get abuse.

What's the verdit on webcouponportal? Do we pour scorn or pizza down their throats?
    Update:-
You may recall there were concerns about copies of coupons...
I've had two separate sets now, and I have had codes PM'd to me from other people on here, to check, and they have all been different.
I reckon that what they are doing is ok, but won't last long.
Going by the list of users that got the Robinson's, there are a number of folk (myself included) that are able to get multiple copies from multiple machines, and quite legitimately!;)
This can't cause a problem(IMHO) for the coupon policy,(since they are all valid coupons) but if the site does too many of them then individuals, like me, will not be able to do it anymore, because couponnet, will tighten their controls even further.
However, while it's only a few dozen of each coupon, the manufacturer isn't going to be concerned, and couponnet aren't going to be concerned, because it is a tiny percentage of the vouchers, that they produce.

BlueWkd PM'd me during the week, to ask if they were safe enough to put on the front page, (I hope you don't mind me mentioning this BW) and I advised not to
    1. because I didn't know if they were safe
    2. because I think it would be detrimental (to me and a few others) if all the lurkers on the main page, took it up

I would now say that I don't think there is anything wrong with them, and I think they are safe to use.... but I, personally, still wouldn't want to promote them.

I would say that, at some point, their welcome offer will dry up, and they will either remove the link, or give a less exciting parcel through the post.

In the meantime, I'm going to keep them on my bookmark list and continue to check them periodically.

If you want to pay money and get coupons, you may well get better deals on ebay though.
It's up to the individual to do their own homework and not do anything which would affect the policy in their own local store, think about the long game and not the short game for maximum couponning benefit.

Footnote, I have swapped many internet coupons, but I have never traded on ebay.

Now you know why I had to get my Tesco-fix before typing that lot!:rotfl:
It's nice to be nice .....
You HAVE checked google before asking, haven't you?;)

While I was in Tescos this evening, I tried to use the Daily Mail £1 off when you spend £5 on fresh meat, fish and poultry(includes pre-packe, meat and fish counters).

I spent £5.34 on sandwich meats for school lunches, and it came up as "insufficient spend".

So just be warned that even Tesco don't think their sandwich meat is "fresh"

I didn't bother arguing the point, since with other MOCS the £25.97 spend came down to 4p anyway:D

If it was high enough to get abuse, you should still be counting it:p

Use your RealUserName if you want to be taken seriously:rotfl:

That IS the bottle that should have the £3 MOC around it's neck....it is currently retailing at £2.50.
I haven't seen ANY finish coupon for this product, so you should expect to only be able to use the one coupon (for not buying the product) IMHO

If you are buying from T you CAN use a finish MOC to buy this as they allow you to redeem against other items but only 1 per shop so you'd need to do a few shops to bag a load of the promo MOC attached.
