Since moving from the DFW board, i've only looked in on you a few times ITBS. You were always so positive and driven when i read your posts and so glad you have finally got out from under all that pressure.

Thanks George,
I have always tried to stay positive and to be honest I still am driven and extremely ambitious. Things are definitely looking in the right direction for me now. Will post something further when my new venture settles down;)0 -

Well done mate. Feels brilliant doesn't it?

Now, a little tip; get a letter from the OR to confirm your discharge; and fire it off to all of your creditors requesting they mark your accounts as satisfied on your credit report.
Give it 6-8 weeks for this to get done; and once it's happened it might be worthwhile getting a Vanquis Visa card to re-build your credit report.
NOT suggesting you get yourself in trouble again, but I got a Vanquis card as soon as the defaults all got marked up a satisfied (needs a LOT of chasing up before the creditors do it, mind) and so now slowly rebuilding some positive credit history - just in case you want a mobile contract or proper bank account in a year or two; it really helps!
Good luck with the future, and be good!

Exact same thought that went through my head (about the time flying that is), I may not post very often in this board but I read an awful lot of it and it only seems like a very short while ago when I first noticed the username! We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
