Good or bad?

Was just wondering if anyone has any experience with applying for a loan and being told that its been put to another department 'for a more in depth analysis' ?
I've applied for a loan with the Clydesdale Bank, been quoted a good rate with more than decent repayment amount, but they've said that they will confirm the loan on monday or tuesday.
Has anyone had a similar circumstance (or heard of one)? How did it go? Good or bad?
Thank you very much.:T
