I bought some whoopsied lamb fillet and want an interesting idea/recipe for slow cooker - any suggestions please. I have already got Curry Queens curry sauce, so combining the two would be good.

as an aside, I was just watching a cookery programme, and the chef used anchovies instead of salt - looked interesting as well.

Lamb goes really well with anchovies. When roasting it, use the oil from some anchovies and put some anchovies into slits in the meat.

So far as your fillet is concerned, I wouldn't waste it on the slow cooker. It is a fast cooking meat - takes about 5-8 minutes, depending on how pink you like it. I usually marinate it in olive oil with lemon and rosemary and then flash fry it until a bit brown and crispy. Serve with pita bread, salad, houmous.

    I agree, quick-cook it!

Marinade it with chopped garlic, lemon, EV olive oil and oregano. Grill, BBQ or stick in the top of a hot oven and serve Greek -style with salad, pitta, and tsatski. YUM!

Thanks for all the ideas - didn't realise it was a quick cook meat - I don't know why - the word "fillet" should have given it away!!!!!!!!!!
As I had to use the meat before got replies, I flash fried it, and made a sort of very mild curry - worked ok, but I'll be taking note of the above ideas next time - now to find some more neck fillet. I'd not used it before, but it was certainly very tender.
