...hurry down to the shop!
Well Mothers Day has come and gone and hopefully you managed to get something for the old dear to keep her happy.
Now of course, the moneysaving begins. Go to your local shop/Tesco and buy your next years Mothers Day cards at a stupid discount price. If they have loads, you may even wait a few days until they get reduced further.
I do this after every event and it saves ££££ loads. I got next years valentines day cards from the Premium range in Tesco, I got a several for 14p each (it's fun sending to my sisters to keep them giggling)
While Mothers Day cards are discounted, you can get one for your mum, one for your gran/nan, one for your aunt, one for your sister, one for your wife etc. There's a whole selection usually and at these prices you can afford to get one for every mother you know! Next years mothers day could cost you as much as a £1 now (for the cards) and a few stamps this time next year. How cheap is that for a whole load of happiness?
No go forth and shop my cherubs

i only spent 50p on mine (from local market) so the bargains can be found
Plus id lose them, forget about them or theyd be ruined by the time next year comes
Good idea (same with chritsmas etc)0 -
I have a box in the bottom of my wardrobe in which I keep hundreds of random cards, several for each event plus a selection of Get well/happy birthday/i'm sorry/you're a star/etc. I keep other random things in the box like gift tags for presents and stuff, so I always know where to go. Whenever I see something I know I can use that's been discounted, I get it. Whenever I next need something, I check the box first0

I try to buy cards when I see them on offer - but have also recently found a fab card shop - 5 really nice cards for £1 - so that's only 20p each & they are really good quality - not the flimsy ones that are normally so cheap!
I have a couple of boxes where I keep cards, wrapping paper, spare pressies etc! I tend to save any 'freeby' things from Boots etc (only the nice stuff I hasten to add) and you can quickly wrap & send it if you suddenly remember a birthday!0 -
Oooh I never thought of doing that, what a good idea
Thanks redgemini!
