Need of unsecured £5k loan

Hi there,
I need a loan of £5k and am struggling to get one anywhere. I have the highest credit score but I think I am getting declined as Equifax do not have me registered on the electoral role, even though I am confirmed with the council. I never miss a payment, zero balance credit cards, no defaults, CCJs, etc,
Does anyone have any ideas what I could do, I don't seem to be getting anywhere with Equifax correcting my details

Have your tried your own bank and have you challenged any of the declines? It might be that if you speak to a real person then can overwrite the problem if it an error at Equifax.
You must also realise that your credit score isn't the only thing the banks use in their 'scorecard'. They will also be looking at affordability, where you live, the job you do, whether you have dependents etc.
It could be that the banks you have applied for are being super fussy and only lending to people earning >£35k for example, or those who own their own home.
R.Smile, it makes people wonder what you have been up to.

I have had a conversation with my own bank and they said they wouldnt lend to me. They said it had nothing to do with my account status or credit profile, its "just the way the banking situation is at the moment".
I finally got my information corrected at Equifax after 3 weeks of questioning why. I ended up having to use the F word to get anywhere with them.
My monthly expenditure leaves me with 1k left, I live in a very good street opposite a private road, my job is well paid (28k basic) and I have no children.
I have had one missed payment in the last year, it wasn't infact missed, its just the direct debit was too low. I dont own my own home unfortunately but will do soon0 -
stupid question maybe - if you have 1k left every month cant you just wait 5 months to buy whatever it is you want? 5 months not the same as eg 2 years...Debt free 4th April 2007.

Nope I can't wait. I've put down a holding deposit on a property, paid the solicitors, got most of the mortgage deposit and 5k was supposed to come from my nan as a present but 3 weeks ago she was diagnosed with throat and spinal cancer and is paraylsed from the chest down
A loan seems to be my only option...0 -
