Use the DCBYAW code for a further 5% off bringing the total cost to £75.99.

Whilst this may be more than most would be willing to pay for a set top box, the Sony is arguably one of the best units around.

Don't forget to use a cashback site for further savings.

I think nowadays ur better off going for the newer type Freeview boxes which allow you to 'top up'.

However, if you definately don't want to pay any additional monthly cost then I suppose it don't matter....

I don't think this discount is available to the general public.

I found it on this site, and I think the public generally use it
  • I dont think they mind about the discounts that much, otherwise it would have been called off a long time ago. If anything, it probably brings them more revenue.

What are the advantages of the Sony Freeview box? What suprises me is how I've not seen a Freeview box with PVR facilities and 2 tuners. Having said that, nothing much on the box.
  • That's a nice price for the Sony box. I'd be very tempted if I wasn't already Netgem'd up to the eye balls :o

Also, here's one of these freeview PVRs you mentioned http://www.pacefreetoview.co.uk/02twin.asp. I think it's being phased out already though, as I haven't seen them in too many places, and even on ebay they go for not far off the RRP.

From one of the web forums:

Sony upgrade the system regulary and it has a very fast channel swap and a working 7 day epg. plus optical out and 2 scarts.
