LEaflet/envelope packing

Good evening everyone,

well this is something from back in the day....... does anyone know if the leaflet/envelope packing working at home still exists??

I know there are always the scams going round where you have to pay a fee up front however do the true companies still exist?

Does anyone know the correct name for this type of work????

many thanks in advance for your help!

I doubt it - i'd say 99% of all envelope stuffing 'opportunities' at the moment are scams.

I think a lot of companies use envelope stuffing machines now so there aren't as many jobs around.

I used to do this when I was a student as there were lots of companies where I lived, but you had to be referred by someone who already worked for them.

    There all scams.

I used to work for a company from home making lampshades. I used to wrap them with that annoying plactic stuff that takes hours to get off. I also used to assemble pleated lampshades. I also made expensive lampshades that had an expensive trim on them that i had to glue on. Sometimes i even had to cut the panel out by hand if the machine in the factory wasn't working.

I only got this job as my mum worked in the factory and the business was expanding and if the staff didnt get the work done in the day it was sent to homeworkers like me, as they had big name clients who demanded thier orders yesterday. I would collect it at 4pm and have to have it all back at the factory for 7am.

I never knew what i was getting or how long it would take, the pay was pants as i got paid per unit and i had no life as i couldnt plan anything in case i was needed to work.

I enjoyed the job though as i could work whilst my little ones were sleeping but occasionally i would get a big complicated order that would mean i wouldnt be sleeping that night and that was really hard especially as i knew i would have the kids to look after the following day and couldnt just go to bed when i'd finished.

The best thing you could do is find out if there are any small manufacturing companies in your area and ring round to see if the out source work to home workers.
