Help - I'm furious!!

SOrry that my first post is asking for help, but I've just come off the phone and I'm blazing mad!!!
Right, to cut a fairly long story a bit shorter! I feed my dogs on a raw diet so ordered some frozen meat from a supplier I had used only once or twice before. I asked that it be put down the side of the house if I wasn't in (it's sheltered and shady down there and it's gated off).
So I came home on the day the delivery was due and there was nothing there so I assumed they hadn't delivered (as they hadn't last time I'd ordered, apparently due to a mix up with emails).
Two days later, my next door neighbour knocks saying she'd taken some 'dog food' in and it was now leaking blood! The delivery driver hadn't told her what it was and hadn't told me where it was - there was another box in my wheelie bin!! The whole lot was defrosted so I could only use enough for a few days as I couldn't refreeze it. So I'm nearly £60 worse off.
I emailed a complaint to the company and was told that they would need to speak to their driver before they dealt with my complaint. Fair enough, but this went on for over a week, promising to speak to the driver the next day and the next.
I've just had a call from this company, who have admitted that the driver is told to deliver the food to my address only and they only went next door to see if they had the right house and next door offered to take the food!
They are now saying that my neighbour was to blame, though they wont charge her but they won't refund me either!!! I'm afraid I lost my temper and said as it was 100% their fault, if they don't refund me I'd go to Trading Standards and anyone else who will listen including dog forums on the internet! I also said that they are totally in the wrong and they had better think again and email me asap.
Now I've calmed down a bit, ok I shouldn't have said that about the internet but I was just getting nowhere.
Does anyone know where I stand and what my next move should be?
Thanks in advance - sorry about the looooong post!

i am no expert but as far as i can see they have failed to delivery you good as stated by you.
Where they ended up is not your fault, thats for them to take up ,
They should refund you, as they failed to leave a callind card to advise you of where it was.0 -
Thanks Leedslad, that's pretty much what I was thinking. Any other comments/advice?0

Why did it take your neighbour two days to mention she took the delivery? Does the company have a head office to complain to? I find going directly to head office usually solves things. The driver was at fault for not leaving a card to say where the food was left. I'd be furious too spending £60 on meat that is not even fit for a dog.0

i aggree write to head office explaining that what you requested them to do was not carried out and therefore you are seeking a refund for the full amount.0
