Lidl SATNAV refund

If anyone was "lucky" enough to get their hands on a satnav from Lidl the other week for £249 like I managed to, (comfort spending), have a look at the spec on the side of the box. 256 MB SD memory card, advertised on the flyer as a 512 MB card. Using Martins SADFART maxim, ring Lidl customer services on 0870 444 1234 or see if there is a cheaper rate number on saynoto0870 or whatever it is and voice your concern. They will promise to ring you back and indeed they do ring you back and offer a thirty quid refund (in cash) because the goods did not correspond to the description. Shades of Shoe Lane car park for anybody who is the cemetry side of 50 ? Satnav for £219......yippee.

Just in case anyone hasn't phoned up Lidl yet to get their cheque please note that I was able to get a refund of £50 as I quoted that the 512mb card had a desc of "pre-installed maps" therefore I pointed out that if I was to get the 512mb wit map's it would cost me more then £30.

They checked with HQ and offered £50, can't say fairer then that.

Very impressed with Lidl Customer Services and such nice people in their Scottish office......Even theier pre-recorded message is nice (sad I know but all adds up to putting you at ease)

the spec shown was actually a 256 meg card AND a 512 meg card, i pointed this out ages ago when the hunt was on just after aldi sold them.
they also stated that there was other extra stuff that didnt come with the aldi pack.

i cant remember who, but someone posted the lidle link originally and i at first mocked it and then having checked it out said what a great spot.

i would argue that you want atleast £50 back as you will have to find another mem card ( you can get 1gig ones for £50)

they were saying 2 cards and i would also make sure it is a 400 mhz processor and not a 300mhz processor.
