Plain bog standard video recorder

mine has broken the week b4 Xmas! Typical!

I want one but am loathed to pay through the nose as eventually we will shell out and buy a recordable dvd player.

I can pick up a dvd player for £29.99 yet videos are £40!
I just want cheap cheap cheap

Any ideas?

it does sound ridiculous that video players have not come drastically down in price, since some stores will not be stocking them after their stock runs out ???

keep your eyes peeled there may be some bargains to be had in the next couple of weeks. ;)

you could always rent one from box clever for £6 a month till you get round to buying a DVD recorder if you're going to get one within 5 or 6 months.
I bought mine from them refurbished for £20 when they had a shop near us. They used to be radio rentals

My wife and I got a really cheap video from Asda. I can't remember the price exactly, but I think it was round about £20.

Very basic, but good enough for us...
    Waddle you do eh?

thanks all. Will give it some thought.
    Asda's are now £39.99 a Pacific one.

Usually I wouldn't be so mean but I suppose I'm just holding out for a recordable DVD.

    Thanks though for all help
