My husband has a salary of around £14.5K.
We are looking to buy a house very soon (we currently live in rented council accommodation). As we are moving areas to do so my husbands employer will be paying all of our fees (inc legal, mortgage, survey, search fees, inc any unsuccessful bona fide attempt to purchase, and moving fees) -upto an ammount of £5K.
We understand it makes sense to get an "agreement in Principle" from the lender before we find a property so we know what we can borrow - are these available from all lenders ?
We have looked into properties in the area and suitable ones seem to be between £45K-£80 ?!? so really depends on ammount available to borrow.
We don't have any outstanding debts and only use a credit card for cashback purposes so could pay off (like we do in full each month) and not use. Also student loan but husband is under threshold for making payments.
Would a 100% mortgage be feasible ??
Would we be able to get any special graduate rates ??
Is there any other advice you could give us ??
