Fresh tuna - on offer anywhere?

We love fresh tuna on the bbq, but it is a terrible price. Does anyone know if any of the supermarkets has it on offer at the moment.

Your best bet is to visit your local tesco's fish counter about an hour before it closes, Tuna is one of the fish they reduce regularly as no-one buys it at full price, 2 weeks ago I got 400g ish for 60p, and it freezes really well. Upsy x

  • Asda do frozen tuna in their extra special range. 2 pieces for £3.00, they're quite large for £1.50 each and very thick so stay nice and pink in the middle. I usually defrost mine before cooking and it's as good as fresh.

I love tuna as well. It's so annoying how its so expensive. I know Icelend usually have a good deal on it, but I haven't been there for a while, so don't know the price at the minute.

Aldi do frozen tuna steaks and if left to defrost naturally rather than in the microwave they are just as good as fresh.

We normally get 5 steaks in each bag and I think one if a fair sized portion. The website says £2.99 but I'm sure I paid £3.49 last time I went

Another vote for frozen tuna - £4 for four fillets in Iceland. And they are thick fillets, not the silly slivers they sell in supermarket prepacks.
