Well, the title says it all really! - Does anyone know if Avon do credit checks when you apply to be a representative?
I've applied and the area sales manager is ringing me on friday when she's back off holiday abnd I understand they then come round your house to sign you up, but I don't want the embarrassment of wating their time only to fail a credit check and be told i can't join... I haven't got any CCJ's but I do have defaults as I've just started a debt management plan throughtthe cccs.
Thanks
Pauline

I am sure you will be fine. I think I must have the worst credit file. Got into loads of debt between the age of 18-20 and I have had several defaults and right now I just pay most companies minimum payments until I get back on track. I do not have any credit cards anymore and only have a basic back account. I was accepted no problem and was given a £500 credit limit first time.
I even told my SL my concerns after she signed me up and sure enough I got accepted.Avon Rep

C11 - £301.72, C12 - £284.92, C13 - £220.14,

Thanks! I really want to do it but there's no way i could afford to pay for peoples orders upfront if they didn't give me credit.
Well fingers crossed they'll accept me. I wasn't sure whether to mention it to the sales leader or not in case i just got a straight rejection but i think i will.0 -

I am half way through an IVA and I got accepted, the sales manager told me that as long as you havent been in trouble with Avon in the past you are pretty much accepted :beer:I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. I have the worst credit file on earth i think lol and i got accepted, but the other day i was speaking to my area sales manager and she said they are becoming a bit tougher not sure though,
im sure you will be fine, i had the same concerns as you when i joined and my asm told me that if i fail she could sign up someone else in my house, so you could always try that, hopefully you dont need to though.
Good luck0
