I don't understand, it's just a link on their home page, how are they reporting any different to any other story? It's not even the biggest link

Or am I being too rational and letting facts cloud my judgement? ;)

    That is a spike.

In reality though until we see steady under -/+1% we have not got to the stabilization period/ stagnation.
I think if we get a 2.4% up we are likely to see a similar fall next month.

Halifax just released, +2.6%, I'm off to work now, but I will disappointed if there isn't at least 10 pages of argument when I get back:D. Good day for the bulls, enjoy.

Is that bigger than any single fall?

Wonder what the actual reason is? People actually taking notice of green shoots and "buy now before its too late"?

I think that's exactly what it is. People are being told that Fixed Rates aren't going to get any better and of course we all know that IRs are not going any lower, so in some ways it's a good time to buy if you can get a good deal.

Surprised that unemployment isn't having more of an effect.......yet.

Would be interested to see the breakdown of sales though, to see what proportion of FTB's and the trend....

it's not about being right or wrong graham - we can both take and give a decent jab.

these are just mortgage approvals anyway - LR is the best (not the perfect) barometer

I was just thinking, I wonder where the house is that's sold for 2.6% up, must be a lotto winner somewhere in the north with money to burn.:D
