And some more stuff, this time on pensions being cut.

Perhaps rather than focussing on one months BOE decision, CML report, or Haliwide figures it would be useful to take a step away from the estate agent window and consider how soon the economy, employment and eventually house prices can sensibly get back to boom times?
I know we have had a couple of months of a stockmarket hand relief rally, and a few punters have bought cars and houses - but this does not feel like the start of anything sustainable - more a [STRIKE]fools[/STRIKE]
false dawn.
So what should an MSE tip be at the moment? Mine would be - be wary of large or long term commitments.

Final Salary Scheme Pensions have been being restricted to ne employees since the 90's.
I too was victim to losing out on a final salary scheme closure.
While my new scheme is not as good as the final salary scheme, it's still pretty good.
Putting it simply, it is becoming increasingly difficult for companies to continue paying final salary schemes.
There's two ways of looking at it
Woohoo, I still have a final salary scheme, but not sure if my company will be able to service it in the future
or
I have a gauranteed pension scheme for the future, but I don't know if it will be worth anything
