I wanna buy 'old' chocolate spread

Hello All,
I'm trying to track down a certain chocolate spread. We used to get it regularly from Tesco back in the early 90's although it was probably available elsewhere too. It had the same consistency as marmite and was a similar colour too. It was sold in a glass jar with a white lid. They've probably stopped making it now but does anyone know what it was called or where to get it from?
TIA, J

I think I know the one you mean... Fry's Chocolate Spread. I've never found anything like it in UK (I hate the nutty spreads and the milk chocolate ones) but if you know anyone going to Eastern Canada ask them to go to Atlantic Superstore supermarket and get some President's Choice Dark Chocolate Spread... it tastes just the same.
If you google Fry's Chocolate Spread you will find an entry for the telegraph where someone asks this question...Q Fry's has discontinued its dark chocolate spread. Does anyone else make one? BW, Colchester
