Experiences of Melton Mowbray Building Society as lender?

Does anyone have any experience of MMBS?

Interested in both general customer service (seemed really good on the phone) and application processing times, please.

Thanks!

  • Have put in an application (received by them on Monday), had the agreement in principle on the phone last week put it took a few days for them to get the paperwork to us.

Their rates have gone up today. I'm hoping we're likely to get the rate we applied for (4.49% fixed for 5 years, new rate is 4.79%) - anyone any experience of them as a lender? They seem quite small (but I haven't gome so far as to check their accounts to see the size of their mortgage book!) and I don't know anyone who has a mortgage with them.
