I ordered it a week ago via this method - but they cancelled my order a few days later and kept hold of the money in my account, and still have hold of it now. I've reported them to Watchdog as do numerous others..I wouldn't bother if I were you, it will be cancelled in a few days!

Have you tried calling Boots to get a refund?

They haven't actually charged the card so cannot refund it, they have only submitted an initial call for the funds..apparently it will drop off in a few days, supposed to be only a week. I have asked them via email to drop the earmarking of the funds, but that was over 5 days ago and I've heard nothing. And yes..if you can get through to customer service all they do is email the HQ and get them to call you...am still waiting for that call...

they cancelled my order for a gba sp about a week later when it was due to arrive, when do they take the money and do they give you a refund if they cancel it?

i got an email giving me the £5 discount code as compensation.

Reminds me of when Amazon did that to me with an expensive laptop (that i didn't buy in the end), basically blocked all my spending had to phone like crazy to undo it
