Probable some-one has already posted this, but just in case.... the following site provides completely free book downloads:
www.gutenberg.org
There is no catch, nothing, zilch, not one - the only thing that is suggested is that you can a) give a donation to this very worthy cause if you wish, and/or b) upload to the site if you're clever, which I'm not.
Take a look.

Not only are the ebooks free, they are Public Domain works which means you can sell them as your own and keep all the profits. Public domain means these ebooks have no copyright anymore.Don't worry, be happy!

I don't think that's correct, you can't sell 'Macbeth' or 'Pride and Prejudice' as your own work! :rolleyes:Blagged: free samples of handwash from Molton Brown; booklet of walks from Brecon Carreg;
Free Diabetes monitor, free bee-friendly seeds, a MINI coin and a splash-proof book from Radox.:T0 -
razby - that is not what this site is about. This is a 'money saving' site which means 'being able to experience things or have things' which you can not normally afford - it is not a site to abuse for making profit out of.
Thanks for posting Barbara - this is a really great post!! & there will be people who see it here who have not come across it before.
Thanks for thinking of us all!0 -
To see a world in a grain of sand,
And a Heaven in a wild flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand,
And Eternity in an hour.
