Where can I get a VCR?

My old one had just died and I'm in need of a new one but where? Only able to get DVD recorders now.

yes freecycle is a good place to ask for one.. even offer your old one for spares you never know ..

I assume it isnt just for its recording facilities but to play old tapes

If it is not for just playing old tapes why not get a freeview pvr which you can record/pause and in some case export recordings to a pc

Freecycle is the best place - we got one there a few weeks back, and there must be 2-3 every month.

If you want new, there is one at Argos, but it's almost £60 - for another £10 you can get a DVD/VCR combi. Or I did see some on Amazon last month - think the cheapest was about £40.

Try calling your local charity shops or second hand stores. Car boot sales might also be worth a try.

Yep try freecycle or eBay. Charity shops or Cashconverter type places as well if you have more time to look...
