Just a quick one- I have some Stork for baking dated best before 30 May 2009. Will it be ok to use?
Thanks
As we are barely into June its probably no problem at all. its a best before date rather than a use by date, this means its guidance rather than a safety issue. if its unopened, smells ok and tastes like you expect - then go ahead and bake with it - perhaps it could be kept in the freezer in future.

Knowing me, I'd still be using it in October. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0

It is a best before date, not a use by date. means it might not be at its best, but can still be used. I would use it!Don't be a sheep, be a shepard!

I'd use the Stork even if it were WEEKS out of date as long as it looked and smelled fine.0 -
I'd be using it still at Xmas if it looked OK. When it's old the surface can be a little darker, so I'd probably pick the lighter coloured bits ... but I wouldn't waste it!0
