Lamb steaks and beans..

Lamb steaks...what beans would you have with them? I love butter beans, lentils, red kidney, borlotti beans, all of them actually.
I'm thinking of having the lamb with some tzatziki dressing.

erm, yes......but I was asking for other people's opinions about what beans go nicely with lamb..in the winter I always do butter beans with a lamb casserole but I was just looking for some new suggestions. Perhaps I failed to make that clear... :rolleyes:0 -
My absolute favourite is runner beans, with new potatoes and maybe a little side salad... a very easy meal, but lovely.
I guess not that useful for you, because runner beans aren't in season.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Any of 'em... any kind of legume is delicious with lamb, whilst peas etc are lovely, tinned pulses are equally as good - mashed is good as well, esp with some thyme/lamb juices mixed in ! or some kind of bean salad." Baggy, and a bit loose at the seams.. "~ November 8th 2008. Now totally DEBT FREE !~0

Thanks TomTerm I do love runner beans too but a few more weeks to wait yet!
Thanks kittyscarlett - youre reply is helpful. I always tend to get a bit stuck in a rut with food and am not very good at choosing what goes well with what. I've always got some type of legumes in the cupboard so I'll be a more adventurous with lamb in future!0 -
chickpeas! just love em! they are good mashed with garlic and a bit of tahini (not as fine as you would for houmous)
delicious!- prior planning prevents poor performance!
