If you are a graduate mate, I can almost guarantee that no-one will beat HSBC's graduate 100% mortgages.

We got 5.09% fixed for 5 years on a 100% mortgage.

AFAIK, that is a very good rate and better than some people with 95% or even 90% mortgages!

One mortgage broker actually told us that there was no way in the world he could match that deal and if it was correct then to go for it. We knew he must be telling the truth because by telling us that he lost our business. Nice of him to be honest though!!!

Yeah I know I was planning on going with them but I thought I should have a look round and speak to brokers first. I've got a mortgage certificate so thats good enough for when I look at houses.

The deal I was looking at through HSBC was the Homestarter which they said they will give me as 100% which was nice of them The reason is simply so my monthly outgoings are not to much in the first two years in case I need to buy bits and bobs but at the same time I can overpay by probably £150 a month when i don't buy anything so i'll not be left with a massive repaymend at the end.
