default on experian

Hi all,

the sun is shining the sky is blue. experain are [EMAIL="w@#kers"]w@#kers[/EMAIL] and so are MCS (i know the last bit didnt rhyme.

Metropolitan Debt Collection (aka hsbc) have finally updated my credit file so that it says settled. i have a letter of satisfaction from them and it has been updated on my experia ncredit file.

my issue is that my credit file still shows a default. is there anyway of getting this removed as i have fully settled the debt.

i know it clears off in six years but i dont want to have to wait to start applying for a mortgage until 2013!!!

any advice

    Nope I'm afraid it stays there. The only way to get it removed is if the company that registered it agree to do so...

    Speak to a whole of market mortgage advisor, providing you dont have any more nasties and have a deposit? They can help with mortgage even with a default.
