Amazon-cancelling order?

I want to cancel a recent Amazon order but I am worried because I part-paid for it using a gift voucher. What would happen, would I get all the money back on my credit card or would I be given a replacement gift voucher and rest back on my card?
Anybody had any experience of this? Their phoneline isn't open on a weekend.
I'm sure you expert will know the answer!!!

They don't charge your card until they've dispatched the order, so your card hasn't been charged yet.
When you cancel the order, the gift voucher will be recredited in your Amazon account until you place your next order on it.

Will I need the original voucher code as i threw it away?
Will it have an expiry date?

The code should be stored on your system.
amazon gift codes have to be redeemed by a certain date but I'm not sure if they have a spend by date. I spend it too quickly to test!
I'm quite certain they will be leave the credit in your account until your next order.
