tesco credit card purchase advice wanted

i have a tesco credit card linked to my clubcard number, i pay in full every month and save the vouchers for holidays to get the 4 times face value.

i am just about to renew my car insurance (taxi) its is £833 in the past there has been no charge for using my card this year they want 2.5%. is it worth using the card and paying the extra £20, or what i gain in deals goes in fees.

my calc is. spend 850 get 1 point for every 5 pounds so i get 170 points value £1.70 * 4 £6.80 is this right.

Basically you get 1% back in deals (1 point for 4 pounds = 0.25% but its mutilplied by 4 if used on deals).

Basically its a 1% cashback credit card, if you can get bettr than 1% on a cashback credit card then use that then tesco :P.
