Wedding suppliers in Greater Manchester

I'm getting married in April next year and have started to get around to arranging things but haven't a clue if the companies I've contacted for quotes are going to be any good or not. Only had a few prices back so far but there doesn't seem to be much to choose between them at the moment!! I'm trying to arrange a car, chair covers and table cloths, flowers and also a dance floor as our venue does not have one!

I'd really appreciate any recommendations for companies that can supply any of these things within Greater Manchester (Stockport)?

Thanks, sorry I meant to say in my original post that I've done a google search and contacted a number of companies for quotes but I've no idea if any of them are any good so I'm after recommendations from people who have used companies before.

For example, one of the companies I contacted was J & R chair covers but I've just read a less than complimentary thread about their service on this board so will think twice about using them, even if they offer the best quote!!

I don't cover that area at all and unfortunately don't have any contacts in that area. Have you thought about getting a wedding directory for your area? Go to a few weddng fairs as you will be able to pick up a directory there as well as meet suppliers of various things that you are looking for. You might be able to get a good deal that way too.

Not from the Stockport Area but amongst my search i found these... cant help with dance floor or chair covers as I dont need these things.

My cheapest quote on a car was with This company

Flowers my sis used these - the flowers are gorgeous sadly my budget wont allow me to stretch to real ones

Thanks for all the responses, got car sorted now but struggling for chair covers, dance floor and flowers. Gonna get some quotes but any recommendations would be helpful!

I would recommend you speak to your venue for their referrals and recommendations, they should have a contact for everyone you need. Visit bridal fairs in your area (there is going to be one in the Autumn at the White Hart in Lydgate, Oldham, that's not a million miles from you), hope this info helps
