DMP & Student Loans

We currently have a dmp with payplan and have had for over a year.
I know that one of the conditions of this plan, is that you are not supposed to take on further credit.
My question is, if I were to go to university and needed the student loan for tuition fees, would that be allowed on a dmp? as I know student loans do not come under the "normal" credit consumer act.
Cheers, emilykat.

Hi
Have you asked advice from Payplan about this? Or perhaps CCCS or Citizens Advice Bureau can steer you right.
My guess would be that it is best to play safe and stay away from any credit.
Perhaps you could negociate with the college/university for fee reductions or paying them in manageable installments.
Also, as I spent 7 years in university and had learnt to be more savvy with buying books etc. There are some brilliant places like markets where students sell their unwanted books and you can pick them up really cheap. And then of course Ebay and Amazon's New & Used books department is great for studying on a budget.
Hope that helps and good luck with your studies!0
