    Hi everyone

Thanks Swinstie for your comments - I don't feel so guilty now. Fortunately for my bank balance I have now calmed down and am out of the spending mode. It was the shock when I actually totted it all up that did it. OH says he has work after we come back off holiday so at least we will be able to pay for it all without dipping into savings (phew).

Eek! I have just been on the phone to BMI Baby who we are flying with on Friday and they say we can only check in one bag per person. We usually take our luggage in three small bags so they are lighter to carry. They say if we do this there will be a charge of £15 each way for the third bag. So what we have to weigh up is do we buy new cases or pay the £30? We only bought new suitcases earlier this year but we won't be able to get everything into the two small cases we have. More expense! Just when the spending mode had gone!

Think I may have sorted the baggage problem. We are allowed 10kg cabin baggage each so we will take a cabin sized bag with us and stuff what we can in it. OH reckons he has enough room in his case for all the sun lotions, toiletries etc so he can put some of his clothes in the cabin baggage. I refuse to spend any more money on holiday stuff. I will be so glad when we're finally at our destination. I think it will call for a bottle of bubbly to celebrate (any excuse).

DD is back off holiday. She phoned me this morning at work to say she'd just got back and has had a tattoo, her suitcase is at her friends house and can we pick it up, she's got a bad cough, cat is ignoring her, she's tired, why is it so hot and by the way she had a nice holiday! This is what I have to put up with!

    Good afternoon everyone :)

I think this will be my last post before I go on holiday. Last day at work today yippee!! :j

Sorted the luggage situation without having to resort to throw more money at it. OH has managed to fit most of his clothes in a small holdall, my clothes are ok in my case and the toiletries etc are in OH's suitcase. Of course OH is gloating about how little space his stuff takes up.

Going to fetch my euros this lunchtime and try very hard not to do any more last minute panic buying. Got my manicure and pedicure tomorrow paid for by my ebay earnings and have a bit of top up shop for DD to do. She's only been back from holiday a day and has eaten me out of house and home already. Will be reading her the riot act tomorrow re wild parties etc!

So will see you all in just over two weeks time when I will be back to the debt busting and back on track to clearing my debt by next April. It will be so nice not to have to think about budgets and stuff for a whole two weeks, although we have a strict holiday budget to stick to so can't go mad.

    Cheers!!

Couldn't resist one last update - have updated my signature to reflect I have managed to save all the holiday spending money required without relying on OH's tax rebate! :j

That's really it now - Swinstie I am so looking forward to break from computer! Although OH says he would take it with him if we had internet access in apartment! Thank goodness we haven't!

Really must go now manicure/pedicure in 20 minutes and not dressed yet!

See you all in 2 weeks!

First day back at work today after wonderful holiday. Lot's of hot sunshine and relaxation, wish I was still there. Even came back with some euros which is a first - these will be rolled over for the next holiday which will hopefully be in winter. Still now back to the nitty gritty!

Seemed to have spent a fortune since we got back on restocking food as DD has eaten us out of house and home (suspect she has had help from friends!). Also we bought a patio heater reduced from £125 to £31.25 from Tesco and a barbecue (only basic £15 one however) plus a few other bits and bobs for the house. So the spending must stop now or I'll have a repeat of last month.

OH is back at work today as well and things are looking up for him workwise - how long for I don't know but we have learned to take things as they come at the moment.

Off to catch up with other people's diaries now. I'm sure lots has happened in the last two weeks.
