My Husband wastes our money!!

We only have one wage coming in as im at home looking after the kids and my husband has got several insurance policies that i think are share's or something similer, we can't make ends meet and he's payin at least £20 a month for all these which we can't afford. Hes had these policies for years when we were better off, so i think he's gonna cancell these policies that are dotted about all over the place. Surely these are not nesceserties(sp) like house hold bills are there just extra. We would be much better off if we we'ernt paying into these. What do you think?

I would look at every single policy carefully. They may be policies that pay out after so many years, so you'd lose a lot of your money (if not all) if you cancel early. Check them all.:grouphug: Things can only get better.0

I'm pretty sure it's "State of Affairs" in other word a list of your in / out goings.
If you list your household income and all your outgoings (individually) and we'll all have a look to see if there is anywhere else that you could be saving e.g. gas / electricity supplier.
It's a good exercise!
Good luck with it - people on this site can be a great help. :T0 -
Hi Mrs Hardy and welcome!! An SOA is a full statement of affairs including all your incomings and outgoings and also listing your debts with the APR's.We can often pick up on ways to save a few pennies for you0

I agree that you shouldn't just cancel them without looking carefully at the documents to find out what they are just in case - if you wanted, you could always post here what they are called and whatever you can find out about them, and we could try to help you decide.0
