Building Insurance

Whats the best way of getting this? through the mortgage provider or are there standard cheaper alternatives? thanks!

    Your best bet is to shop around as you will normally find the cover cheaper elsewhere - some lenders may charge a small fee if you do not take this with them however so read the small print of your mortgage offer letter or check the illustration you have been given

    If you go through Quidco, you'll get £65 if you buy a home insurance policy through Zurich.

    And Zurich were (the last time I looked) v-e-r-y competitive on price anyway.

    If you take out Halifax insurance online you get a 20% discount. I've found their prices for contents & building extremelly competitive, never had anyone beat them yet. So whilst you're shopping around do give them a try.
    The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

    I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.
