Hey guys,

Creating PDF files.... (jpgs / PSD's).

I used to use the export feature in Photoshop... however - it tends to create blurry low quality PDF's no matter what the source is. (even high resolution images).

What decent program are there out there what creates decent quality PDF files?! This is a kind of portfolio for someone so hence the good quality?

Tried the free ones "Print to PDF" ... very poor quality though!

Even the create PDF feature in CS4 bridge - thats poor quality too.

If you have Microsoft Publisher 2007 you can "Publish as PDF or XPS..", you need to download an add-on from the Microsoft web site.

I don't use Open Office but it has a module called Impress, you might be able to save as PDF in this - www.openoffice.org

Serif are selling Page Plus 9, a DTP package for £9.99 in which you can save as PDF, I've not tried it so not sure of the quality - www.freeserifsoftware.com/software/PagePlus/default.asp

I use PrimoPDF, it's free and quality can be altered to suit your needs.
Really good infact, works just like a virtual printer.

In many of the PDF writers I've use it selects the ouput pdf print quality according to the type of printer you either have installed in windows or selected from the pdf software. Just look (or google) for the best print quality printer on your selection and install that.
