Shipping

Shipping seems to have picked up on the back of Chinese activity, this is often a good leading indicator, it collapsed 90%+ last year.

guess stock levels must be down to bare bones now and for maintaining stock levels purchases must have restarted at sustainable reduced levels now.

You've been mentioning that ever since shipping started to collapse about a year ago.

Mewbie, I think you will find that I only mentioned that volume was starting to rise again only a few weeks back.
Also at the moment overtime is back across every shift and every different skill set.

Can you remind me where you gave any information about volumes dropping? If you only ever post good news, even if it is made up, then you will be right eventually.

I think this puts the recovery in context:

Not 100%, but much of the trade is going to the Far East; China in particular are pouring hundreds of billion s into commodites such as copper and Ore.

That aint stuff to go in our shops, thats stuff thats going to china that will turn it into a world leading superpower over the next 10 years.

I'm guessing not a lot of iron ore and gold gets shipped to China via Felixstowe. Th only volume increasing is Pickles hysterical green shoots.

Lol, still here and still single (sort of).

Afraid I don't have anything to report with regards shipping levels, dad went up to our old office during the week but there was only a small amount of time for us to discuss how things are.

I suppose one indicator is that my old job is still open to me to take up at anytime I want, if things were really down the tubes, then I expect the story would be completely different.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
