House contents Insurance

Obviously you have to inform your house contents insurance company you are bankrupt, my hearing is the month my house contents is due for renewal.
That company is also conected to a bank which is a debtor included in the bankruptcy debt. Obviously i can't go on with them.
Is there a company that will insure bankrupts for house contents ?
Thanks in advance.

Booger :( Have you tried Confused.com?? Then once you ahve a quote you can go to the website and read the t&cs. I know you can get insurance but it's whether they weight it because of bankruptcy or not.

I didn't realise I had to inform the insurance company I was BR (haven't quite got BR yet but will be very soon). Why do you have to do this? Anyone any experience of ASDA insurance (both my car and contents are done through them).

    Thanks

You dont have to tell anyone Lite unless they ask.....the time it'll happen is if your coming to renew insurance then they may ask on forms if you wanted to go to someone new...

i've been with the royal sun alliance team for over 10yrs now...(cheap deal through the NHS)

If the Coop is one of your creditors you more than likely won't be able to get a Coop cashminder account. Who do you bank with?

Do you have to tell all your insurance companies??
I was starting to worry about my car insurance it is with AA who I have a loan with as well which will obviously be going into my bankruptcy should I change??
I didn't know I had to tell my home insurance

The worry about insurance is that if you need it you may not be covered. Maybe it is worth an anonymous call to them to see.
