Had a good week?

Just wanted to let you know that after a really bad start to the month. (Husband who is self employed got stuffed on a job and hence we lost about £350.00) today I feel as if we have really got somewhere.

Hubby got paid for a good weeks work, I got paid with some overtime in it as well I can therefore clear outstanding balance on alliance and leicester credit card.

Had a call off my solicitor who is dealing with a compensation claim for an accident I had last year they have upped their recent offer from £1950 to £2250.00 which I can clear my Barclaycard credit card (£1640 outstanding) and have a good stab at my student loan (£1185.00 outstanding). Bad news is they are refuting claim for excess and expenses but my solicitor is getting very arsy with the other side and has given them 7 days before she issues legal procedings ( clear cut case other lady pulled out in front of me). Heh it's not costing me a penny since I took out legal cover.

I have been shopping and yet again stuck to my budget and the freezer and fridge are stuffed again.

Put in my expenses claim which has given me an extra £90.70 this month and had a really good meeting with my boss who has agreed I can go on a course which the company will pay for £495.00 + VAT and have next week to look forward to as I have only got a day and a half at work to do. Yippeee.

I have also got most of Easter off as TOIL cause I have worked a lot of extra hours the last couple of weeks and instead of getting paid (due to not wanting to upset TC) am having the time off instead.

PS - I love the budget plus side I've got more money downside 4p extra on wine - good thing I gave it up for lent.

And I lost a pound in weight at Rosemary Connellys.
