really pleased with tea tonight!!

im still busy working through all the threads here but had to post about my first OS tea tonight :T

I bought a pack of bacon misshapes (more like chunks of gamon really!), some ready prepared broth veg mix (vacuum packed fresh from grocers) and a pack of dumpling mix.

bacon 99p (only used half as there was so much) *so 50p for what i used*
veg 99p
dumplings 69p

Bearing in mind we have 4 children and there was enough for us all for tea and enough left over for lunch tomorrow for us all!! That works out at £2.08 for 2 meals! Im loving this OS style and have lots of plans for the slow cooker now too......thank you so much!! :T :T

Hope you dont mind me sharing :)

I buy loads of those packs, I trim them then freeze them, more often than not they are thick slices but if I get a lot of thin pieces I still use them up in soup. 1a_y_grin.gif
