Magners is from the company with the Irish distribution rights for Bullmers, with a different name as they don't have the right to use the Bullmers name in the UK, so it is made in the same factory as Bullmers in Ireland.0

Also found a 'Booze-Buster' shop selling GAYMERS Cider - 12 full 568ml bottles for £8!!!!!!
Can anyone confirm this is national? I found this deal in a shop in the North East!
The two local Booze Buster shops in my town have been re-branded as 'Simply Food & Drink'. I hope they still have this offer in those stores too.0 -
Asda offer looks to have finished, went today and cases of 8 bottles are £10, nothing to say 2 cases for £14. Boo.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Just a slight correction/addition - the Bulmers you get over here is a completely different product to Bulmers in Ireland. Basically Magners is called Bulmers in Ireland but they can't call it that anywhere else as the international rights to the Bulmers name is held by the English cider company H.P.Bulmers.Magners is from the company with the Irish distribution rights for Bullmers, with a different name as they don't have the right to use the Bullmers name in the UK, so it is made in the same factory as Bullmers in Ireland.
There is a lot more to the history (and how they were related originally) but I won't bore you with it and only know due to someone being so certain they were the same thing made in the same factory that they put money on it. Needless to say they lost
. They also lost when I proved via a blind taste test that they tasted significantly different, personally I much prefer Bulmers to Magners, more appley IMO.
And the supermarkets quite often sell Bulmers in cans and it is considerably cheaper than the bottles

JDPower, you are wrong - This can be shown with a FAQ on bulmers website when talking about the Pear version -
1. When is Bulmers Pear being launched in Ireland?
March 1st, 2009
3. Will it be available in your other markets?
Yes, it will be available under the Magners brand name in GB & Northern Ireland.
Also on the bulmers.ie homepage it clearly shows if visiting from outside the RoI please visit Magners.com
Cant believe people still question this.Just have a little faith0 -
Yes so the Bulmers sold in Ireland is sold as Magners outside of Ireland (due to HP Bulmers holding the rights to the Bulmers name outside of Ireland and already producing a Bulmers cider), isn't that exactly what I just said???JDPower, you are wrong - This can be shown with a FAQ on bulmers website when talking about the Pear version -
